We hit another huge milestone last week with our 10th wedding anniversary! Erika and I went for a fantastic dinner at Spencer’s at the Waterfront and Nana & Grumpy looked after Amelia. I’ll admit that it was pretty strange being out somewhere with Erika and without Amelia, but it was nice to get out for our first date since her arrival. Erika only texted Nana once the whole time! Good job!! It's pretty awesome to think that we have been married for 10 years and we're still going strong (at least as far as I've been told). I dug up a photo to share with you all, but please excuse the quality. It's scanned because, when we got married, it was pretty tough to find a photographer that used digital cameras. Celebrations Galore!
Hard to believe that Amelia is at 3 months already, but it's true. We’ve been busy with anything and everything over the last few weeks so I’ll try to touch on a few of the big things.
We had our first Canada Day celebration. It was a ton of fun with Uncle Brad and Aunt Charlotte at Spencer Smith Park after a nice patio dinner at Pepperwood Bistro on the Burlington lakeshore. Amelia wasn’t quite sure what to think about the fireworks at first, but within a few minutes of getting used to them she just fell asleep. That’s right… she fell asleep! She was looking very patriotic and getting plenty of attention in her "I ♥ Canada" t-shirt. Unfortunately the shirt didn't last long and we had to change her due to reasons I will not detail here.

Our other big event was having our little Amelia baptized this past weekend. It was great having so many family and friends with us on this special day (some couldn’t make it, but be assured you are still just as special to us, and to Amelia). The service was perfect and I’m so thankful for Amelia’s wonderful Godparents, Luke and Clarisse. In all the excitement and activity, we completely forgot to get a picture of Amelia with her Godmother and Godfather, but I'm sure there will be plenty of pictures with them to come!

Daddy couldn't resist taking a day off last Friday to spend some time with his perfect little family. We had a great day of picnicking, walking by the lake, picture taking and just having fun together! We stopped by Whole Foods and picked up some lunch and brought everything down to Lakeside Park in Oakville (at the bottom of Navy St. if you're curious). The weather was perfect and we had a great picnic by the water on the grass under a huge tree. We followed that up with a walk along the shore. It was a prefect little outing for my day off. This whole fatherhood thing is pretty cool!

We’re finding it so amazing watching our little girl absorb everything she sees. You can really see her learning things as she experiences them, and trying to figure things out. Something as simple as a flower gets studied in so much detail that it’s incredible to watch. You can practically hear the little neurons in her brain connecting!
