Settling In

Well I won't go so far as to say we are in a routine or anything, but we're doing just fine and loving every minute of it! Amelia is (and has been since the beginning) incredibly alert and strong. Her eyes are almost always wide open and taking everything in. She loves watching the birds, squirrels and trees out the window and she looks you right in the eyes if you talk or sing to her. She can easily lift her head and move it around already and I'm pretty sure that she has the strength to walk already if she had the balance.

She has moved up to her first "big girl" sleepers now (i.e. not newborn) but they're still a little big on her. The 0-3 month sleepers are still a little large on her but they are better than the newborn sleepers, which don't even let her stretch her legs out any more. Daddy is NOT impressed with these long legs on his daughter already!

Daddy had his first week back to work and it was not easy. Just knowing that Erika and little Amelia were at home was pretty tough but Erika said she didn't want to live in a cardboard box, so I suppose work it shall be!

Thanks to everyone for the support, love and endless gifts! We are astounded by the generosity that everyone has shown and we can't thank everyone enough. We're loving this adventure and it makes it even better knowing that we have all of you family and friends cheering us on!

Lots of love to you all!
